Patterns from Nature student art showcase is a collaboration among Asia Society, Studio in a School Corporation and New York City Public Schools based on the exhibition, The Native Born: Contemporary Aboriginal Art from Ramingining, Australia. Artists from the Studio in a School Corp worked with teachers, who also attended a workshop at the Asia Society, then, with their students, visited The Native Born exhibition. The insight gained from their visit was then asserted in an art project using their own communities and imagination as subject. The final expression of the students' experience resulted in fantastic paintings, paper maché sculptures, and murals.
